face fear

“You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience by which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, ‘I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.”  Eleanor Roosevelt

What fears have you faced and overcome?

What have you learned when you confronted your fears?

What can you do the next time you face a fear?

  1. The greatest fear that I have faced is fear of failure. I overcame it every time it came up by just getting on with it and being willing to face failure if it happened. I then discovered that it is no big deal to fail. I do not fear failure any more.

The fear that I have now has nothing to do with my personal well being. It has everything to do with my ward for who I am the care giver. My fear is that I may not be there when needed. There is nothing that I can do about it and so, I live with it. No big deal.

  2. Why do we fear failure? Is it because of the culture we grew up in?

With things we fear are possible we can always create risk mitigation strategies to help us out in the event something does go wrong.
