One of the most tragic things I know about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon-instead of enjoying the roses blooming outside our windows today. Dale Carnegie
What would happen if you created “magic” everyday? Not the kind of magic that is filled with smoke and mirrors, but the kind of magic that brings a smile to your face, a moment of joy and happiness, that kind of magic.
What would it take to make the day more exciting and enjoyable for you?
How about some ideas?
1. Get some flowers and give it to a random person, anyone and surprise them.
2. Smile at a stranger.
3. Buy a lunch for an elderly person.
4. Take the cook the who cooks all the meals at a homeless shelter out for lunch.
What ideas do you have? What things could you do to make a magical moment?
Now don’t just think about it, go do it. Make it happen.
Who do you know that is unemployed? Give them a big box of toilet paper.
Who do you know that is struggling with each day? Give them a hug.
Who do you know that has just gone through a divorce? Throw them a party.
Connect with those who are struggling and make their day better in some way.
Make it fun and memorable, make it magical.
It is the function of art to renew our perception. What we are familiar with we cease to see. The writer shakes up the familiar scene, and, as if by magic, we see a new meaning in it.
