“The only way that we can live, is if we grow. The only way that we can grow is if we change. The only way that we can change is if we learn. The only way we can learn is if we are exposed. And the only way that we can become exposed is if we throw ourselves out into the open. Do it. Throw yourself.”

Relax, reflect and look ahead
It’s close to the end of the year. It’s time to wrap up projects, personal projects as well as those professional projects. How many of your goals did you achieve?
This is the time to get things done and prepare for a new set of objectives for 2016. What did you do this year? What was remarkable about what you did? Did you even notice how you were doing over the past year or did it just fly by in a blur? What was the best part and what was the worst part?
It might have been an ugly year for you or it might have been the most spectacular year of your life, what did you learn? What do you want to do to make 2016 better?
What do you want to accomplish before the year ends?
For many people the last two weeks in the year is a time to recover and just relax. It is time to think about what is coming next and a time to start dreaming again. For some people this year was a hard year, challenging them in so many ways. Was your year challenging? Was it something you wanted to forget? If it was challenging then now is the time to just reflect and relax. It is time to reset expectations and a time to forge a new dream. What will you do?
What do you want next year to bring? Are you ready to begin?
What does it mean to be your best?
Mark Twain said, “Thousands of geniuses live and die undiscovered – either by themselves or by others.”, and if we aren’t living our lives to our best then we are letting a part of who we are capable of being unused.
Set an intention today, to create a personal mission statement and define who you will be and become. Set the intention to be the best with what you were given and use your strengths and talents to the fullest degree possible.
What are you the “best” at? What have you been desiring to do that would unleash all the talents that you have and haven’t started yet because you aren’t ready?
There are the stories, the many stories of people who go through life and live a life they wish they didn’t have to live. Many people are living a life that is opposite of what it could be for them.
What would it mean to you to live an inspired life?
Consider for a moment what Ayn Rand wrote, “Ask yourself whether the dream of heaven and greatness should be waiting for us in our graves – or whether it should be ours here and now and on this earth.”
When are you going to start living “your” life and living it with the intention of being the best “you” that could possibly be? When you start on that path you will see possibilities that were never available to you start coming towards you. Set your sights on being your best at your best self.
Start thinking some new thoughts on how you can be your best.
“A belief is only a thought you continue to think. A belief is nothing more than a chronic pattern of thought, and you have the ability -if you try even a little bit- to begin a new pattern, to tell a new story, to achieve a different vibration, to change your point of attraction.” wrote Abraham Hicks.
What beliefs do you have that are holding you back from being your best?
“The possibilities are numerous once we decide to act and not react.”
George Bernard Shaw
What dreams, visions and goals have you passed by because you chose to wait another day? How many more chances will you have to live out your purpose? As each day ticks by another chance to make a difference ticks by as well. Right now is the time to take action, to move forward in the direction of your dreams.
Let’s say you wait. You think it is OK to wait another year, to put off what your heart desires for something else, something less important, something that does nothing for your being. Then in nine months time something else happens and the dream starts to slip from a year to two years. Before long the dream has slipped for five years and now you are looking back in regret that you didn’t take the time to make that dream real.
As time passes and your dream sits on pause the chains of life grow heavier and tighter around you. The burdens of life grow, the dream shrinks, and shrinks and shrinks as does a part of your soul.
Do you have a dream that lives inside of you? Is it big enough to live outside of you?
