“The goal of life is to make your heartbeat match the beat of the universe, to match your nature with Nature.” Joseph Campbell
Joseph Campbell was a noted mythologist who wrote the book “The power of myth” which examined many of the faces of religion in the world today. Campbell tried to connect the stories from many religions to see where there were common points. What was the true experience of those who lived thousands of years before us? What did they discover that we are still searching for?
In a world as complex as ours is today we can easily get lost in the machines in the world as well as the machines in our mind. We get lost in the noise of life and forget what it is really like to live.
Not far away is an island, an island that was rocked so violently that it shattered the lives of many people. Lives that mattered and lives that still matter are shaking in the aftermath of tragedy.
Power is realized when one heart in one part of the world unites their heart with the suffering heart in another part of the world. Power is unleashed that can change what is right now and create something that will reflect the beauty of hearts united in a common cause.
“The life which is unexamined is not worth living” Socrates
“A goal is the ongoing pursuit of a worthy objective until accomplished” Canfield, Hansen, Hewitt
Examine your life. Are you setting goals that are big enough to make a difference in your life?
Do you have an exciting vision for your future? When do you work on the vision? Making the vision come true is one goal you can work on.

What you focus on expands.
That is if you are thinking positive thoughts you will grow towards those positive thoughts and if you are thinking about things that go wrong you will necessarily bring yourself towards things that are negative as a consequence.
What do you think about most? Do you think that you can? Do you think you have amazing abilities, courageous character, magnificent manner, superior strengths, or honorable humility?
What is the predominant creative force in your life? Do you use your creative force?
When we choose to be creative we choose something far grander than we imagine. Robert Fritz writes, “Moreover, the entire quality of your life changes dramatically, from tragedy, drudgery, pain, tolerance, struggle, sameness, and boredom so often characteristic of life in the reactive responsive orientation to the excitement and adventure characteristic of life in the orientation of the creative.” (The Path of Least Resistance)
Fritz again writes, “When you examine reality with a preconceived idea of what you will find, you particularly notice those facts that reinforce your concept.” This goes back to the idea what you focus on expands. The confirmation bias that you hold causes you to look for things that affirm your ideas or bias. Suddenly everything you see acts in synchronization with your ideas and beliefs – the world is in alignment with your beliefs right or wrong. If you are thinking creatively – expanding your capacity to better yourself or the world, what you are focusing on will expand for the better.
What do your focus on? Creative forces or something else?

“It takes courage to look at yourself and accept your imperfections. It takes courage to love yourself anyway. It takes courage to go beyond merely trying to survive your life and start trying to actually enjoy it.” Seth Godin “The Tribes Casebook” http://sethgodin.typepad.com/seths_blog/files/CurrentTribesCasebook.pdf
It takes courage to change. It takes courage to want to be better than you are today. It takes courage to live.

Have you walked on a sandy beach and left your footprints in the sand. Have you noticed that when you stop and look back at those footprints they have been washed away by the incoming tide? The wave gently erases our past as you walk on the beach. Your footprints only last for a short while.
Life is much like your footprints. While those footprints may be visible for a short time eventually they are washed away. It is only where you stand that you let your presence be known. When you step away the footprints will be filled in by the rushing water.
You need to be present today where you are and you need to make a difference today. Life isn’t about what you have done it is about what you are doing.
When you watch the tide come in and wash your footprints away do you lament the fact that your presence has been washed out to the sea? Or do you look forward to the next step you will make. You will make a new impression on the sand and for a moment that will be your signature.

And one does not discover their self without consenting to look beyond the present.
