how do you know?

“The only way that we can live, is if we grow. The only way that we can grow is if we change. The only way that we can change is if we learn. The only way we can learn is if we are exposed. And the only way that we can become exposed is if we throw ourselves out into the open. Do it. Throw yourself.”

How do you know if you are living your life in the best way possible?   Have you spent time evaluating your own progress through life or are you just going with the flow?

Have you thought about your life plan (if you have one)?

What do you think your purpose is?   Your purpose for work, life, relationships, personal growth, finances, health/fitness, relationships and spiritual perspective, have you defined what you want to be doing in those domains.

I think it is important to focus on those core life elements and strengthen them.   It helps create a greater sense of peace in your life so that you aren’t just existing, but existing with purpose.  With a well defined purpose you have a starting point from which to define goals that enable you to realize your purpose.

What are  your major goals that you want to achieve?

What is stopping you from setting new more powerful and exciting goals for your life?  When do you think you’ll take that step to define your future in a way that aligns with your purpose?

coaching is for …. most people

Who is coaching for?

It is for people who want to become better at who they are on an accelerated track.  It is not unusual for people who have a coach to have a quantum leap in personal happiness.  This happiness may be driven by achieving more significance in their lives whether it is at home, at work or in the community.

In general most well adjusted people will benefit from having a coach.  There are some though that a coach should not apply their method of Socratic inquiry.  There are some who would benefit from therapy.  Sometimes the trials of life create disappointment and perhaps even period of depression which is beyond the skills, training and expertise of a coach.  There are times when a coach should recommend that a client seek out professional treatment.

For many people the results of their experiences will be in many respects mostly positive.  Life will be good, not great but good.   For a few very motivated people they might even rise to the level that someone who is coached would attain but that would be a rare occurrence.

Often we don’t know what would generate a quantum leap in personal performance.  We might be missing the questions, the discipline or the accountability to go it alone and to find what truly makes us happy.

Looking at the chart we can see time moving along the horizontal axis and as we reach the zenith of our careers, family or community life we should be at some elevation that is higher than it was when we first embarked on our journeys.   As our story unfolds we should see things steadily improve as we gain in wisdom in knowledge.

There are some factors that interrupt our journeys and those could be illness, job loss, family crisis or other significant life events that cause our path to deviate from its planned destination.  There are those who can help people navigate the crisis which helps people with significant interruptions in their journey to reengage with life.

If there is a desire to fully experience life then think about getting a coach to help you realize your goals.
